Learn Awesome Photography Skills in 2 Hours
This is an intensive 2-hour private workshop which can be used for several purposes, for example improving your portraits or wedding event photography, learning to take better travel photos, perhaps taking pictures of your family or kids, or you just need guidance because you’re starting from an absolute beginner level.
Though created with no specific scope in mind, this workshop is designed to be flexible enough to cater to various levels, ranging from complete beginners to photographers who already have some experience but are looking to improve on a few areas. I’ve had some participants who are working professionals looking to fine-tune their craft.
Optional Topic: Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Skills
Rarely does a masterpiece emerge without going through the final steps of perfecting it in today’s digital darkroom. Adobe Lightroom is used by professionals to manage, edit, finesse and create final images with amazing speed and efficiency in workflow. Though most post-processing tasks can be done in Lightroom itself, Adobe Photoshop is used to take the images a step further for more specialized and precise tasks, and for very detail-oriented editing.

I joined a 2-hour private photography class with Andy and really enjoyed it. He’s super friendly and explains things in a simple, easy-to-understand way. The session felt very relaxed and personalised, and I learned a lot of practical tips that I can actually use right away.
Andy was patient, encouraging, and made the whole learning experience comfortable even if you’re still new to photography. Definitely recommend if you want a chill but useful photography session!

I’m a complete beginner in photography, and Andy’s class made such a difference for me. He explained everything in a clear and approachable way, and I learned so much about how to use my Fujifilm camera with confidence. The way he guided me on exposure really helped me take noticeably better pictures right away. I recently completed the photography course, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The lessons were well-structured, starting with the basics of camera settings and gradually moving into more advanced techniques. What I really appreciated was how practical the sessions were,we weren’t just learning theory but also applying it immediately through hands-on exercises.
The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about photography, always ready to answer questions and give constructive feedback. The assignments were fun , which encourage me to try different styles of photography shots.

I attended a photography class with Andy and am really glad that I did it! Andy is a very experienced photographer and teacher. Teaching here is in the way he conducted the session. He made me comfortable and made technical aspects easy to understand. Importantly he was happy to assist me whenever I had issues with the camera after the session (and there were many). I have no hesitation at all in recommending Andy to anyone who is keen to learn about photography in a quick and efficient way.

I recently attended a 1-to-1 workshop with Andy from Photoguru, focusing on photography basics and the essentials of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator. The session was very well-structured, and Andy’s clear teaching style made it easy to grasp new concepts. His practical approach allowed me to learn techniques I can apply right away. However, with so much valuable information, I felt that a bit more time would have been beneficial—3 hours went by too fast. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to build a solid foundation in photography and Adobe software.

I had a really interesting course with Andy who was really very professional and educational! It was structured, he answered my questions and even had a presentation to cover the different themes of photography. We had time to practice together with my own camera and lens. I don't think it could be any more complete than it already is. I would recommend !

Thank you Andy! We had an amazing time learning the techniques of using our smartphones for some creative photography. We had in mind to apply some new skills in photography in our travels and got great balance of theory and practical know-how on great creative composition to obtain dramatic effects and practice in exposure, balancing light in our photos. Andy patiently showed us the differences in smartphone features and sufficient understanding on the camera functions available in both android and IOS phones. We also received advice on the types of applications and software available if we were to advance further into smartphone photography. All in all it was a wonderful three 2 hour sessions and time well spent covering sites at Central Park Bandar Utama, Saloma Bridge and Taman Tasik Perdana KL. Thank you Andy Lim taking up the request of us three retirees keen in photography upskilling to stay relevant! Highly recommended!
