Learn Studio Portrait Photography Skills in 2 Hours
This is an intensive 2-hour private workshop focusing on studio portraits. Topics covered include lighting with studio strobes, low-key portraits, high-key portraits, using light modifiers, and posing.
Optional Topic: Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Skills
Rarely does a masterpiece emerge without going through the final steps of perfecting it in today’s digital darkroom. Adobe Lightroom is used by professionals to manage, edit, finesse and create final images with amazing speed and efficiency in workflow. Though most post-processing tasks can be done in Lightroom itself, Adobe Photoshop is used to take the images a step further for more specialized and precise tasks, and for very detail-oriented editing.
Topics covered:
- Lighting with Studio Strobes
- Using Light Modifiers
- Posing
- Low-key Portraits
- High-key Portraits
What You Should Bring to the Workshop:
- A friend to model for you
- Any Mirrorless Camera or Digital SLR with a hotshoe
- Any lens
- Plenty of enthusiasm!

Andy was patient, encouraging, and made the whole learning experience comfortable even if you’re still new to photography. Definitely recommend if you want a chill but useful photography session!

The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about photography, always ready to answer questions and give constructive feedback. The assignments were fun , which encourage me to try different styles of photography shots.
By the end of the course, I felt much more confident handling my camera and thinking creatively about how to capture a moment. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to get out of auto mode or someone looking to polish your skills, I’d definitely recommend this course.
